Nicolae Tanase: Krissy, what is the meaning of life?
Krissy Moehl: To me, the meaning of life is what I do to add meaning to life; to my life and to the lives I touch. I add meaning to life through interactions with close friends and family. Extended dinners to laugh and talk. Teatime just before bed. Sneaking in afternoon runs. Baking bread to share.
I add meaning to life through checking in with perceived personal boundaries and exceeding them through physical challenges. Traversing long distances on foot. Running in the rain. Hiking in the mountains. I add meaning to my life by taking time to ground myself through quiet time alone. Writing. Reading. Sitting by the fire. Reflecting.
I add meaning to my life through interactions with my community. Participating in movement classes (yoga, kickboxing, sport training). Group training runs. Coaching. Race directing. Picking up trash. Saying hello as I walk down the street.
I don’t know that I exactly answer the question, What is the meaning of life? But I enjoy adding meaning to life.
