Excellence Reporter: Rev. Debra, what is the meaning of life?
Rev. Debra Jarvis: The meaning of life is for everyone to find the meaning of their particular life. When reflecting on this question, the words that float through my brain are, “love,” “service,” “purpose,” “passion,” “connection to the Source,” “coyote.” I’m not sure how “coyote” got in there.
But since “coyote” did show up, let me address that. Coyote is a trickster and reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously. Take life seriously, but not ourselves. That is why I find this question and your asking me to answer it hilarious.
No disrespect.
So that’s it. Where do you find meaning in your precious life? is the more useful question.
