I love hot chocolate, especially because it allows me to pause and be present… Pause and be present for what?
Pause to remind me that we have been gifted with so much, the ability to taste wonderful things, to be present on Earth to “live”. Life has so much to give us, including all emotions, joy and sorrow, and everything in between or beyond. What a gift right?
This is what it means being present to it all. When we can be present to it, in a way that allows us to feel everything we feel, with no judgements, we are carried through the waves, by the Divine energy that runs through us all. It is like an electricity current, that keeps us “alive”, and sometimes there is a low current, and sometimes a high current. But what a joy to be able to experience all currents.
When we can be the surfer of this current, life lives through us in a way that becomes the ride rather then the current that takes us over or drowns us. This is presence through all that we experience. It is creation. When we ride the waves we become the creator.
We are all here to laugh, cry, be weird, swim in the ocean, play in waterfalls, taste ice cream, be weird, and be present to everything.
Drinking hot chocolate reminds me of this. It allows me to sink into my own presence, and give myself space to remember that it is through me creation happens. It is my hot chocolate meditation. No ceremony, no big event, just a simple thing as drinking hot chocolate can remind us of our own inner power, that is racing through our every cell. What a gift that is that we are “alive”….
It really is the simple things in life….
