Excellence Reporter: Gregg, what is the meaning of life?
Gregg Levoy: I don’t believe there’s a meaning of life—a singular meaning that applies to everyone. I only know the meaning of my life. And even that isn’t a singular entity.
What life means to me is the privilege of having it to begin with, the call to celebrate, enjoy, and be exquisitely present to it (and my place in it), and finally the challenge of—the commitment to—transmuting suffering into growth when it isn’t enjoyable. That is, suffering creatively and not just neurotically.
