Paul Cardall: Meaning, The Eternal Family and Spouse

Excellence Reporter: Paul, what is the meaning of life?

Paul Cardall: We are here to inherit physical bodies and learn to keep God’s commandments. We are here to find an eternal spouse, prepare to have an eternal family, bless God’s other children and return back to God having experienced all that life has to offer.

Fortunately, knowledge of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and His Atonement helps us to endure our trials and to see purpose in suffering and to trust God for what we cannot comprehend.

Ultimately, I believe nineteenth century american prophet Joseph Smith, who wrote, “Happiness is the object and design of our existence; and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it; and this path is virtue, uprightness, faithfulness, holiness, and keeping all the commandments of God.”
