Niyc Pidgeon: The Meaning of Life… finding healing and happiness

Niyc Plain2 2Excellence Reporter: Niyc, what is the meaning of life?

Niyc Pidgeon: The meaning of life is to find healing and happiness and help others do the same. We come to this earth to learn, and as we learn each lesson, we are able to let go, release, and find freedom within ourselves and our journey.

No matter what your experience, we all have the power to make a change to the way we feel, by finding the growth within our challenges, and making our struggle our strength. In each moment we have an opportunity to learn, grow, and help those around us do the same.

We know from the science of positive psychology that finding purpose within life can help us to thrive, so it might not be the meaning “of” life that we are looking for, but rather the meaning within it instead.

Building loving relationships, focusing on positive mental and physical health, helping other people, finding a sense of accomplishment, and living with more joy and purpose all contribute to a life well lived.

To find meaning, we can all look to contribute to something that is bigger than ourselves, to be driven by a vision and a mission that creates connectedness, and transcends limitations to give a deep sense of motivation and fulfilment.
