The older I get the meaning of life takes on different colors. There are always the essentials, love, human connection, family and feeling like you are relevant and contributing something that might, maybe make a difference to other lives now and hopefully after you have departed.
For me the love and connection I have for and to my children and husband always remains the bedrock of meaning and sustenance.
The meaning of life is to do something selfless each day to help someone who is less fortunate than you are.
The meaning of life is to wake up everyday with enthusiasm to do whatever it is you have chosen to fill your days and hopefully be your profession.
I would say today when I think of the meaning of life I think of freedom, both personal, national and global. Then the meaning of life is to be able to do what you choose with your time, your heart and your body. It’s to be able to travel the world without fear because of where you come from, what you believe or whom you might love.
The meaning of life is going to be worthless if our planet is in peril and our wildlife is killed off and our glaciers melt. If all living things are in jeopardy than there might not be much life period down the line. So the meaning of life is to take care of life in all its many forms as diligently and well as we humanly can.
