Nicolae Tanase: Tehya, what is the meaning of life?
Tehya Sky: I don’t know that it could ever be said better than the way Alan Watts put it, but I will try. The meaning of life is simply to be alive. We get so subjective about the whole thing that we attempt to make it more personal than that, but actually, there is great freedom in this simplicity. How could life have a purpose? It is just an overflowing of energy, a massive unfurling of love. A dynamic perspective that wishes to experience itself in all ways possible.
It’s a creative dance that wills us to explore ourselves in the most delightful ways possible. One that beckons us into dark valleys when the brightest light we could ever know is on the other side. One that is always kind and full of gifts, if only we are willing to look.
The meaning of life is to be alive, which to me means to explore, to fill yourself with the beauty of the Divine, to create the will of your heart as you truly intend. So first, it is to just be alive, to simply have this experience however it is happening. And second, to consider giving yourself the best version of it that is possible, which could only ever mean… to live from the heart.
