Simon Chokoisky: The Meaning of Life and Dharma

WebsitePic 4Excellence Reporter: Simon, what is the meaning of life?

Simon Chokoisky: The meaning of life is… to live your dharma.

Dharma is a word that means “natural law” – living according to your “design.” Many people have heard of karma but few understand this word dharma – and that’s a pity, because dharma erases karma. That is, when you live your purpose, when you align with your divine design, you slip and parry the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune like a boxer slips punches – with little effort and with easy grace. You reach your goal – happiness – with far less struggle and frustration.

I have spent the last 10 years studying dharma, and am convinced that this is the key our collective happiness, whether we live in India or Indiana, Africa or America.
