Alphie McCourt on the Meaning of Life

Life is a bowl of soup. With little control over the quality of the ingredients-bits of beef, chicken, carrots, potatoes, onions and all that-we prepare it, eat it, drink and enjoy it.  Satisfied, we sigh, stretch and burp.

In the end we travel on up to add our voice, for better or for worse, to that great and eternal vibration.

Our Life is barely a pimple on the arse of infinity. Yeah! But what a pimple!

~Alphonsus Joseph “Alphie” McCourt is an Irish-American writer. He is the youngest brother of Frank McCourt.
