Bobby Umar: The Meaning of Life and the Story of Happiness

IMG_5687What is the meaning of life?

The meaning of life is to create, experience and enhance happiness. This includes your own personal happiness, but also the happiness of others. This happiness comes in many forms. The most common of which are your personal and intimate relationships, unabashed love, the feeling of connection to people, tribes and ideas. It’s feeling part of something bigger and better than yourself. And finally it’s the exploration of the unlimited possibilities of existence in this universe.

When we look at the top 5 regrets of the dying, it always comes down to 2 main themes. They include “I wish I had spent more time with the people I really loved and truly cared about” and “I wish I had explored the vast diversity and wonder of this great planet Earth.” The meaning in our life thus comes from people and exploration. From people and exploration comes learning, growth and joy.

So dive into yourself, your close connections, your family, your good friends and new and different people everywhere. Explore the world, cultures, food, experiences, nature, thrills, affection, love and more. There is no such lifetime that can do it all. So the meaning of life comes in the journey, the struggle, the reflection, the legacy and the impact. Success and leadership is enhancing the happiness in yourself, other people and world. That story of happiness has incredible meaning. I hope you make your life the best it can be. I hope you have the courage to ask for help. I hope I can help you whenever you need me. Nothing would give me greater joy and meaning.
