Excellence Reporter: Master Sha, what is the meaning of life?

Master Zhi Gang Sha: Millions or billions of people have asked this question. They have wondered why we are here and have searched for answers and ways to give their life meaning. I am honored to share my insights.

A human’s physical life is limited. To live for one hundred years is great. To live longer than this is extraordinary. A human’s soul life is unlimited. Soul life is eternal. I have a deep realization that the relationship between the physical journey and the spiritual journey can be summarized in a one-sentence secret:

The physical journey is to serve the soul journey.

The purpose of life is to serve. To serve is to make others happier and healthier. If you offer great service to others; if you help transform human consciousness; and if you contribute to love, peace, and harmony for humanity, Mother Earth, and the universes, you will accumulate great virtue. Virtue is the record of your services. Heaven records these services. Your great virtue from your good service will uplift your soul standing and bless your life incredibly.

To have great success in physical life is wonderful, but it is not enough. To develop the soul’s life is vital. The more unconditional service you offer, which is to serve without thought of reward or recognition of any kind, the higher your spiritual standing will be. Finally, you will be a high-level spiritual being. The higher level spiritual being you are, the more healing and other abilities Heaven will give to you, empowering you to offer even greater service to others.

This is the true path for every spiritual being. Be sure you are aware of this soul wisdom.

The meaning of life—the purpose of life—is to serve. It is to serve others, to help make them happier and healthier. Throughout history ordinary people have offered extraordinary service to others. Everyone can serve, and by doing so, live their true purpose—their soul’s purpose.

You may wonder how can I serve others, and will my service make a difference?

Everyone can make a difference. Many people do volunteer work, donate to charities, help the homeless, serve in disaster areas, and more. The final goal is to join every soul as one in love, peace, and harmony. This means that the consciousness of every soul will be totally aligned with divine consciousness.

One of the most powerful ways we can serve others, enrich our lives, and bless our soul journey is by chanting and living in love, peace and harmony with others. What we chant is what we become.
